Explore the history of the house
We provide two tour options to help you explore this characterful Highland home.
If your fascination lies with the paranormal, then our monthly Spooky Tour will certainly appeal. You may hope to catch a glimpse of one or more of our three phantoms. Perhaps the sorrowful young lady who may place a hand on your shoulder, the valet making his way to the silver store or the pianist who lost his life in the river but still plays the piano from time to time in the middle of the night.
If you want to dive deeper into the wartime history of the building you can book our Sunday WW2 Tour, which gives you access to the first floor rooms, which is where Churchill and Lord Rowallan likely spent time, and many more fascinating stories concerning local wartime operations. The tour will conclude with a special cream scone tea served in the library on a selection of wartime and Admiralty crockery.
We look forward to welcoming you and hope you enjoy your time with us.
